Who is koji

When Kashin Koji arrived in Boruto , three main theories arose: he was either Jiraiya's son, Jiraiya himself, or a Jiraiya clone. The final option is definitely the least problematic, and fans will be relieved that Boruto hasn't diluted Jiraiya's story by bringing him back to life or introducing a secret lovechild which wouldn't exactly be a surprise, but still Nevertheless, Boruto 's clone reveal does raise some franchise-shaking questions.

In the original Naruto story, Jiraiya's death came at the hands of Pain, who promptly tossed the corpse into the ocean. In the manga, Kabuto was told resurrecting Jiraiya wasn't necessary, but the anime actually claimed his body was irretrievable, so how and when did Amado's clone come about?

Evidently, Amado has obtained a sample of Jiraiya's DNA somehow, but Boruto hasn't yet confirmed whether the Kara scientist recovered the body in its entirety no great feat considering what else goes on in the world of Naruto and Boruto , or merely created Kashin Koji from a smaller sample Jiraiya left behind - a strand of hair, stray toenail clipping, etc.

Jigen correctly deduces that Amado chose Jiraiya as Kashin Koji's template because of the Sannin's hopeful outlook and resolute belief that peace was possible. In the anime, the connection can even be maintained between separate dimensions.

When the technique is in use, the user gains toad-like irides. Koji has blazing speed, able to catch an opponent off guard from a distance even while they face him. He possesses great stealth skill, being able to sneak up on the more experienced Victor unnoticed albeit he suggested Victor lost his edge in old age and was also able to move around Konohagakure upon infiltrating the village completely unnoticed. He is highly skilled in taijutsu, able to easily counter all of Konohamaru 's melee attacks and and simultaneously implant techniques on the latter without him knowing.

He could even compete with a heavily weakened Jigen in hand-to-hand combat, able to counter and exchange blows with him very well. He is shown to be extremely resilient, able to survive being crushed by three pillars, which destroyed his arm, crippled his legs and torso, and still had enough strength to summon a toad to escape. Likewise, Koji has tremendous chakra control, able to perform techniques with only a single hand, despite his mangled state.

He also has equal strong and reserves of chakra as he is able to use Sage Mode. Koji uses ninjutsu from Konohagakure , and has inherited his template's mastery and skill-set at a greater scale.

He can create multiple shadow clones and is able to seamlessly switch places with them to avoid detection. He is one of few to use the Rasengan, easily matching Konohamaru's own usage, and can even use the Ultra-Big Ball Resengan.

He is also very knowledgeable of other people's techniques, as he understood the nature of the Konohagakure Sensing Barrier and how to bypass it. He can also manipulate his hair to attack and defend against his enemies.

Koji's skill in shurikenjutsu can effortlessly hit a fellow Inner before they can react. He can carve Space-Time Ninjutsu seals using Earth Release to summon eternally burning natural fire from flaming mountains.

Koji's Sage Mode is perfect and thus much better than that of his source. Koji has shown the ability to use ninjutsu, just like his genetic template, Jiraiya. He's shown great skill with Fire Release and more than decent hold over Earth Release as well.

Interestingly, Koji likely has the ability to use Wind and Water Release as well. Koji should be able to do everything that Jiraiya was capable of doing. Perhaps Koji's strongest ability lies in his usage of Fire Release ninjutsu and his strongest technique is called Trance of True Flames, or Zanmai no Shinka.

This technique is extremely powerful and upon contact with the user, continues to burn until they die. No wind or rain can put out these flames, making them inextinguishable to quite an extent. What's more, they're so powerful that even the advanced regeneration abilities of the Kara members can't keep up.

Koji can utilize the powers of a yet unnamed space-time ninjutsu, as seen when he was able to enter and leave the dimension of the Ten-Tails without any trouble whatsoever.

Furthermore, he can use a version of this power to summon eternally burning flames from the Flaming Mountains as well. Beneath his robes, during his meetings with Kara and Ao, he wore a long maroon coat with a row of buttons on the right side; during the meeting with Kara it was left unbuttoned, but while meeting with Ao the buttons were fastened and he wore a belt over it.

Later, when confronting Team Konohamaru , he donned a shorter maroon jacket with black lining and straps with buckles, as well as a brown tactical belt and armour on his upper right leg and a pouch on his left hip.

He has shown great mastery in using Fire Release; he can use True Fire of Samadhi , that from hitting targets through small mediums, will cause the victim to spontaneously combust, strong enough to overcome a target's regeneration capabilities and never extinguish.

He can also launch a barrage of fireballs from his mouth and even imbue his fist with fire to consume his target in flames upon striking. With Earth Release, he can morph the ground in the area into sinking mud to ensnare his foes. He can also use Yin Release to project an image of himself to talk with people from a distance. Koji can use Sage Mode , able to instantly access it with a perfect balance of chakra and natural energy, unlike his genetic source.

While in this form, Koji gains yellow, toad-like irides with orange pigmentation around his eyes. Through his senjutsu skills, Koji enhanced his physical abilities and sensory perception to the point of being able to catch a strike from Isshiki and temporarily keep him at bay before quickly countering.

His ninjutsu is also enhanced, able to use techniques such as Sage Art: Five Fire Gods' Fan of Flames , to the point of temporarily pressuring and surprising Isshiki with the overwhelming amount of flames.
